Wine Tasting, Classic Cars and a Musle Car Running on CNG

We are unveiling a performance modified 2003 Mustang GT which also runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) on Friday 16 August 2013 at a Wine Tasting event at the Woodward Warehouse starting at 5 pm. This is a fundraiser to help us offset some of the costs in completing this vehicle.

At the Wine Tasting event we will have appetizers, various wine selections that we will enjoy as we walk around this first class facility looking at many classic cars and the 2003 Mustang GT. We will also recognize the many corporate sponsors and people who helped bring this “grass roots” project to a successful completion.

I have been working for the past few years on demonstrating how Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) can be used in many types of passenger vehicles in a cost savings practical way. In June, America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) unveiled (6) 2012 bi-fuel (CNG and gasoline) passenger vehicles. We were the technical team that designed, engineered, built and validated (4) of them that are highlighted in their website www.addnaturalgas.com.

These vehicles are now being displayed at many events around the US to bring awareness to the usage of CNG as a viable fuel that is cheaper, emits less pollutants and North American provided. This is a real “game changer” fuel that leads to our national energy independence. From that experience I have launched our own funded project that proves another point about CNG usage as a fuel. CNG can be used in a high performance muscle car, in other words, you do not give up performance and horsepower.

We are in the final stages of converting a performance modified 2003 Mustang GT which was that puts out 469 HP at the rear wheels running on gasoline with alcohol injection. It will now be a bi-fuel vehicle also running on CNG with alcohol injection. See our website www.performcng.com to track our progress and see the technical details.

The cost for this Wine Tasting event is $75 per person. On Saturday, Dream Cruise Day, we will be cruising up and down Woodward showing off the vehicle and demonstrating the use of CNG and its advantages. Please contact the Woodward Warehouse by Monday 12 August to RSVP. I appreciate your consideration in supporting us in this effort.
